Clayton Wright, Bay Harbor 4th grade student in Erin VanEnkevort's class, recently wrote a book. Getting the idea from being in the cafeteria, he is pictured above reading the book to his sisters Teagan (left), Scarlett (right), and Elsa (above).
Because of this accomplishment, Clayton was recognized as the Student Snapshot in The Current, HSSD's internal e-newsletter.
The Wisconsin DPI and the Wisconsin RtI Center have recognized Forest Glen, Howard, Meadowbrook, and Lineville for successfully building a school-wide equitable, multi-level system of behavior supports aimed at closing achievement gaps. National research shows that full implementation of an equitable system leads to improved student outcomes.
HSSD was recently honored by the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) with the top state-wide communications award, along with three awards of excellence. In addition, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recognized HSSD with an award of excellence.
